Your drawings are amazing! I only wish I could draw some small percentage as good.

the only way you get good is by drawing everyday. if you keep working at it and you want to you can surpass anyone by miles and miles. don't belive me? take a look at some of my early drawings.

I try drawing as much as I can, but still I think I am lacking somewhere. My aunt teaches art classes and my uncle was an art professor at several universities so you would think I would get it. I have been drawing from photographs, inanimate objects and the like. My aunt thinks I draw too tight and need to loosen up. She recommended drawing fast and loose to build perception. I will try that and see, what do you recommend. I was encouraged by your message, then I took a look at your drawings. WOW. I dream I could get that good. Perhaps with time and frustration. Perhaps some tips if you don't mind.

o god there's going to be lots of frustration, tempertantrums, and several questionings if your good enough. the main key is to never say "i suck" make sure it is insted "i have a lot to improve on"
as far as sugestions for your drawings there's only general stuff that i can say, as you have nothing posted.
1. to loosen up your drawings do what are called quick studies (drawings lasting a max of 5min) and do them with something you can't erase or be timid with like a black marker. do quick studies live not from pics, get family and friends to pose for gesture drawings (drawings that capture the basic gesture of a person with very few lines)
2. copy (not trace) pictures that you like, or styles that you want to imitate
3. play around with differnt mediums, you'd be surprized how well your brian seems to work sometimes when it has something new to play with
4. carry a sketchbook with you everywhere, you never know where insparation's going to hit you. i bought a purse just to fit mine
5. post. enter contest, and always ask for critical critiques, and critique on other's work (even better if it's in a social setting so you can discuss with other what worked and what didn't)

if you have any other questions on this or anything else i would be more that happy to talk more. though you might want to note me cause this is all getting written on your wall and it's going to extend forever.
all luck to you in everything you try.
